Lasqueti Mint

"Each coin starts out as casting grains or ingots of silver or gold. The molten metal is poured, shimmering, from a crucible into a mould which shapes it into a long slender bar...."

So begins the elaborate process of minting coins by hand, in small batches, on a rural island.

I am the proud ownerof one of these coins , and I can attest , they're quite beautiful . Nothing like SOUND currency  , these days ;)

I have two Gabriola coins from 1999. They came in beautiful, wooden, hand made containers. I'd like to know what they are worth and if there are any buyers out there. Thanks.
